project boxes for ESP32 and other microcontrollers
How do I safely house an electronics project? Is there a better way to mount a ESP-CAM camera? I’d been looking for boxes in the wrong shop so I found a better shop.
My choice of project housing dithers between between the classic electronics project box (aliexpress / ebay) and an electrician’s junction box or chocbox. Sometimes I 3D print on Thingiverse but the results can be so-so.
The electrician’s connection box has premade holes, grommets for wires and some are made for outdoor use. They are often incredibly cheap and don’t always look out of place. Here are some ideas to experiment with – I especially like the £1 choc box box below that takes an ESP32-CAM.
