Verdict: Low cost makes equipping whole classes affordable.
Pros: Very low cost for lots of capability
Cons:
Valiant Technology, makers of the Roamer, launched SenSci
in 2002 - a low cost data logger for primary and secondary schools. It arrived
in 2003 with a three-in-one sensor module to measure temperature light and
sound levels. A menu allows you to set when it will start taking readings, how
often it takes them and more. Pupils will appreciate how its LCD screen can
display live readings as numbers, a graph or a bar gauge. In addition, you can
record directly into a PC using the Prodigy software supplied.
